THE ROLE

The Cost Accountant is responsible for the creation and the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target work order costing, and tracing costs back to underlying activities. The Cost Accountant constructs and monitors cost-effective data accumulation systems needed to provide an appropriate level of variance analysis to senior management. They take on (with zest!) managing the complex process of collecting, analyzing, summarizing and evaluating various alternative courses of action.

By Day, the cost accountant will:

  • Work Order settlement – calculate direct labor, direct material and overhead cost variance per work order
  • Variance reporting, continuous research and implementation of controls
  • Assist with NetSuite/MRP implementation and reporting
  • Periodic review and standard costing maintenance in the NetSuite system
  • Inventory reconciliation
  • Capex accounting
  • Month-end close duties, including expense accruals
  • Other projects as assigned by your Manager

AND YOU…

  • Share our passion for transforming our world through food with your “everything is possible” attitude
  • Have a minimum of 3 years cost accounting experience, ideally within a food manufacturing environment
  • Are the proud owner of a Bachelor’s Degree, possess a strong financial acumen and excellent analytical skills
  • Have experience managing and utilizing large databases
  • Previously worked with multiple manufacturing locations and multiple warehouses
  • Are professional, proactive and results driven with expert-level project and process management skills
    Are an advocate for collaboration and communicate easily across the organization and in cross-functional relationships
  • Possess a strong attention to detail, operate effortlessly in a highly dynamic environment and leverages maturity and business acumen to make decisions
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment, leveraging best practices
  • Are a strong communicator adept at synthesizing volumes of data into key trends, observations and actions
